The Pink Piano

In a Few Words...

The Pink Piano is the fictional name of an 18th-century American West saloon, a dusty hideout for cowboys, outlaws, saloon girls, and poker players. This setting introduces the fourth Killer Wink story, featuring roles as thieves, sheriffs, and treasure map keepers.

This game is more complex to set up with cards and tokens but brings more action, risks, and strategy. Unlike other Killer Wink games, players cannot be eliminated—the game is never definitively lost.

If you’re a seasoned Killer Wink player, you can try this new experience, offering a completely different gameplay mode.

The Pink Piano

We are in the American Wild West of the 18th century, at the dusty saloon The Pink Piano, where the whisper of the wind mingles with muffled laughter and the discordant notes of a piano color the atmosphere.

The night before, the bank was robbed, and the stolen safe remains hidden somewhere in the Far West. A valuable map, torn into five pieces, holds the secret location of the safe.

Five clans rule the saloon: the Wolf Claws, Black Serpents, Sky Eyes, Desert Fangs, and Black Widows.

The outlaws, having hidden the safe, have been captured by the sheriffs. But through the bars of their cell, they entrusted their map fragment to their clan, ordering them to unite and steal the other fragments.

The saloon becomes the stage for the treasure hunt. The saloon girls seduce, the waitresses fill whiskey glasses, and the outlaws drink while gathering clues.

Tension rises in the smoky atmosphere of the saloon. Revolvers change hands, map fragments are hidden, and the sheriff’s badge flashes in threats. Secrets are revealed one by one, and in the shadows of the hallways, players pull off armed heists to discreetly steal coveted map pieces.

The curtain finally falls on The Pink Piano when the map fragments are gathered into the hands of a single clan.

Outside, horses gallop away, heading toward the hidden treasure in the wild frontier, leaving The Pink Piano behind, steeped in the lore of the Old West…

Summary of the Rules...

Players form secret clans that include different saloon characters, such as poker players, cowboys, saloon girls, waitresses, as well as the bartender or the pianist. Each player receives a character card and a "clan" card that determines their team.

Each player also has a secret token, which they will show to their teammates. This token can be a revolver, a sheriff’s badge, or a piece of the treasure map.

If a player is a robber, they can attempt to discreetly rob other players during the evening with their revolver to steal a map piece for their clan. If they’re a sheriff, they can try to prevent a robbery, steal the robber’s weapon, and then attempt to rob other players. If they are a map keeper with a piece of the map, they should try to position themselves with players they suspect are sheriffs from other clans for protection.

The first clan to collect all the map pieces wins the game. However, players can exchange roles during the game to throw others off the trail…

The complete rules are detailed in the booklet accompanying the game.
